SkyResume Case Study Summary
SkyResume was a foundational SaaS project delivered by our team to create a modern, AI-powered resume builder platform designed to compete with leading solutions in the career-tech space. The goal was to build a professional web application that enabled users to create ATS-friendly resumes and cover letters with the help of AI, while maintaining a smooth, intuitive, and scalable user experience.
The project was completed as an MVP within 2 months, with a strong focus on speed, quality, and future scalability. Rehan Khan acted as the Full Stack Developer, leading both frontend and backend implementation, while Abdul Hanan served as the Project Manager, coordinating requirements, timelines, planning, and delivery.

SkyResume was built using a modern decoupled architecture:

This stack allowed us to deliver a responsive frontend experience while maintaining a powerful backend capable of handling user data, resume generation, templates, authentication, and future subscription-based scaling.
Key Features Delivered
The MVP included several high-value features expected in a premium resume platform:
AI Resume Builder Users could generate professional resume content instantly using AI. This included summaries, work experience bullet points, skills enhancement, and keyword optimization to improve hiring visibility.
Cover Letter Generator We implemented AI-assisted cover letter creation, allowing users to quickly generate personalized cover letters tailored to job roles.
Real-Time Resume Editor
A live editing system was developed so users could update resume sections while instantly previewing changes.
Dynamic Templates Professional resume templates were integrated with support for layout customization, styling changes, and recruiter-friendly formatting. PDF Export Engine Users could export polished, ATS-compatible resumes in PDF format while preserving design consistency and layout accuracy.
User Dashboard Each user had access to a dashboard for managing resumes, editing saved versions, and handling profile data.
Admin Panel An internal admin system was structured to support future management of users, templates, analytics, and platform activity.
Project Challenges
The biggest challenge was delivering a high-quality SaaS platform in a short timeframe while balancing frontend polish, backend performance, AI integration, and scalable architecture. Resume rendering and PDF generation required careful engineering to maintain consistent output across devices and browsers.
Deployment & Launch
Once the MVP was completed, the system was deployed on DigitalOcean, giving the client a live production-ready foundation. Security, hosting configuration, APIs, and deployment workflows were handled to ensure a stable launch.
Current Status
SkyResume continues to evolve today, although it is no longer being developed by our team. However, the live platform remains built upon the core foundation we delivered. This makes SkyResume one of the most important projects in our portfolio because it demonstrates our ability to design, build, and launch a real SaaS product under tight timelines.
